LAVA SIGHTSEEING

Lava is a small village at an altitude of 2,350 meters and is surrounded by virgin pine forests and often hidden in mists and clouds. This small village lies on the old trade route to Bhutan. The route to Lava gives an opportunity to enjoy a mesmerizing scenic beauty. Besides, one can visit the beautiful monastery of Bhutanese origin and the Nature Interpretation Centre.

RISHOP SIGHTSEEING

Rishop is a Himalayan hamlet in West Bengal (2,591 m), above sea-level at a distance of just 5kms from lava. A pleasure trek  of 3.5 kms can also be taken to Rishop from lava if you like adventure. It is a quiet village with a beautiful view of the snow -capped mountains. A short trip can also be taken to the beauty of Neora Valley National Park followed by a short trek in Tiffindara in a deep silent forest of pine, birch, fir & orchids. The forest  has a wide range of plants and animals and the trail is quite interesting. At sunset and sunrise, the view of the Kanchenjunga  is indeed captivating. The elevated podium lets you witness a 360-degree view of the Himalayan range.

BINDU DAM VISIT IN WEST BENGAL

Bindu is a small village situated on the India Bhutan Border . It is a valley surrounded by the  hills of Bhutan and India on the banks of river Jaldhaka. The natural beauty of this place is a treat to  the eyes with so much greenery all around. Jaldhaka Dam ,one of the oldest Hydro-electric projects is located in Bindu.The dam site can be seen by the tourists from a distance as they are not allowed to visit the dam. There is also the possibility of sighting wildlife on the way.

CULTIVATION IN BINDU

Bindu is a conglomeration of different aborigines. The people of Bindu are engaged either in Elaichi (Cardamom) or Suntala (Orange) cultivation. One should certainly take a trip to the  Godak village.On the way to Godak you can see the Cardamom Curing Centre set up by the Government for the farmers. India’s best- Cardamom is dyed and processed here before shipment. The view of the Bhutan Himalayas and snow clad  mountains  from here is mesmerizing.
